Thanks to all of you who have offered to build or buy feeding stations for the kitties. We were able to salvage a few of our old ones today, but we definitely could use more.
What we have in mind is something on a platform 1-2 feet off the ground and about 2 feet high/wide/long. They will need at least two entrances/exits so that cats don't get trapped inside, and a hinged or removable roof will make putting food in easy.
Some of you have posted photos of really beautiful and fancy ones from Amazon, but we certainly don't need anything so elaborate. Something like this would be fine:

If you're looking to build one, The Animal Welfare Society has instructions for one that would meet our needs. I'm not certain that it has two entrances, but it would be easy enough to cut a second opening. And we wouldn't even need to have the hinges on the side.
